Most roofs that start letting water in do not need replacing. A handful of slipped slates, a cracked tile above a valley or perished mortar around a chimney is usually all that stands between a dry house and damp ceilings. We repair what can be repaired and tell you plainly when a roof has reached the end of its life.

What the work involves
Slipped and broken slates or tiles
Individual slates re-hung or replaced with matching units, and nail-sick areas re-fixed so the same slates do not slide again next winter.
Valleys, flashings and abutments
Lead valleys and flashings are a common failure point. We re-dress, re-point or replace lead where it has split, lifted or been poorly patched with mortar.
Ridge and hip repairs
Loose ridge tiles re-bedded or converted to a dry ridge system so they stop working free in high winds.
